Extra Info:
    billowing conch of the Aji

A fist-sized snail shell coiled in soft spirals. It is blackened with soot and stinks of sulfur.

    Perfect

The billowing conch of the Aji is a unique Cudgel which can be activated to produce a random gas.

The billowing conch of the Aji is a part of the starting equipment for the Fuming God-Child caste, and cannot be obtained in any way other than starting as a Fuming God-Child.

    Gas Production

When equipped, the billowing conch of the Aji goes on cooldown for 100 rounds. After this initial cooldown, the billowing conch of the Aji can manually activated through the abilities menu, randomly producing one of the following types of gas in the user's surrounding tiles for several turns:

After activation, the billowing conch of the Aji goes on cooldown for 100 rounds.

Note that the billowing conch of the Aji does not make the player immune to the effects of the gas it produces, so a vinewood sap mask, a gas mask, or headwear fitted with filters is highly recommended.

    Tips

    • The billowing conch of the Aji can be activated while held in a thrown weapon slot, allowing the player to equip a better weapon while still keeping the conch available.
    • If the billowing conch of the Aji is unequipped while producing gas, it will immediately stop. When re-equipped, it will immediately begin producing that same gas type again. This can be used to “bank” a desirable gas type for later.
    • Because gas is only generated in the surrounding cells and not the cell the user currently is in, it is recommended to stay in the same spot where the conch was blown to avoid the majority of the effects of the gases.
