Perfect

A feral dog is a creature belonging to the dogs faction. Feral dogs can be found underground, as well as in the desert canyons, the hills, the mountains, and the flower fields.[1][2]

Feral dogs will be friendly to the player by default, and will thus come to the player's aid when they are engaged in combat. They can still be made hostile if provoked, however.

Feral dogs attack in melee with their \bite, a natural short blade weapon that deals ♥1d31-3 (Avg: 2) damage.[3] Feral dogs are swarmers, meaning they gain +1 to their to-hit and penetration rolls for every other swarmer adjacent to their target.[4]

Pilgrims

Feral dogs have a 10% chance to spawn as "pilgrims". If a pilgrim is not currently in combat, not a follower to the player or another creature, and is otherwise not preoccupied with another activity, it will begin moving towards the nearest humanoid settlement. A pilgrim will continue their pilgrimage, stopping if it becomes occupied by combat or another action and resuming when it is done, until it reaches its destination. Once it arrives, it will stop and begin to wander around the area randomly.[5][6]
