Hooks for Feet (D)

You have hooks for feet.

You cannot wear shoes.

Hooks for Feet (D) is a physical defect that replaces the player's feet with the hooks natural equipment. The hooks grant no ♦AV or ○DV and cannot be removed, preventing the player from wearing boots of any kind.

The hooks are classified as a Short Blade class natural weapon, benefitting from any skills the player has within that skill tree. Despite this, the hooks will not attack in combat unless they are set as the player's primary limb, even if the player has Jab, though they will attack if Rejoinder triggers. Additionally, they only do ♥1 damage.

If the player loses their feet by dismemberment and then regrows them, the hooks will not regenerate, and they will be able to equip items in their feet slot as normal.

Advantages & Disadvantages

This section is opinion-based. Your mileage may vary.

Advantages

  • Grants 4 extra points to use during character creation
  • Dismembering one's feet and regrowing them effectively neutralizes Hooks for Feet permanently
  • Hooks always apply ♥1 damage bleeding on a successfully penetrating hit with a save difficulty of 23

Disadvantages

  • Prevents the player from wearing boots or shoes of any kind
  • Despite being a Short Blade weapon with uncapped strength bonus, the hooks do abysmal damage that cannot be improved
