Normality stabilizes reality, suppressing effects and abilities that manipulate reality or spacetime. This includes most esper mutations, force fields, and teleportation.
When under the effects of normality, the player will have the astrally tethered effect applied to them if completely restricted, or the astrally burdened effect if affected by a lower density of gas.
Normality can be applied by either a projected normality field, or by normality gas.

- nullbeard gland - grants gas breathing upon eating
- nullbeard gland paste - grants gas breathing through cooking
- elder nullbeard gland - grants powerful gas breathing upon eating
- concentrated nullbeard gland paste - grants powerful gas breathing through cooking
- anomaly extinguisher - attack (fires a normality gas pump) or death (spawns normality gas)
- plastronoid death (spawns normality gas)
- chrome pyramid death (spawns normality gas)
- vents with hexagonal residue
