Sunslag is a liquid most commonly found in the Palladium Reef.

Sources of Sunslag

• Walking over a palladium strut with coral growth will pluck the polyp, which has a 1 in 500 chance of revealing a swollen bulb containing 1 dram of sunslag.
• The overgrown foam pad in the hydropon always holds one dram.
• Occasionally sold by ichor merchants.
• The alchemist is guaranteed to have one dram for sale.

Uses of Sunslag

• Drinking it causes the drinker to permanently gain 1 Quickness. This can be repeated up to ten times for a total quickness bonus of +10.

Consuming Sunslag

Drinking sunslag can return several different messages. When you can still gain quickness from drinking it, it returns:

Brightness burns your mouth and inspirits you. Your Quickness is permanently increased by 1.

If you can no longer gain any quickness from drinking it, it instead returns:

Brightness burns your mouth, but you cannot be roused any higher.

Doing so does not influence hydration in any way.

Tips

The Joppa effect of n-pointed asterisk can be used to gain more than 10 total Quickness from sunslag (up to 20, if it triggers each time).
