Conduct Library
This is a list of player-created Conducts, or rule sets, that expand upon the general play of the game. The purpose of each Conduct varies. For example, a player may follow a Conduct where certain game mechanics are restricted in order to make their experience more challenging or a Conduct where random actions are required, so a more flexible approach is encouraged.
How To Use This Page
- Do not delete Conducts unless they contain offensive language. If this event occurs, leave a comment on one of the talk pages of a community administrator.
- Conducts must contain the following:
-A name -The author(s) or "Anonymous" -A short description -An Intention -A rule set
- Conducts must be listed under their associated Intentions in order of least to most recent.
Intentions
Conducts are divided by Intentions, so players may find one that suits their needs more efficiently. Conduct creators should keep in mind what the overall purpose of the Conduct is before including it in this listing. Consequentially, each Conduct must be marked with one of the below Intentions.
Challenge
- For rule sets that are made primarily to increase the overall difficulty of the play. Ability restrictions, timers, level caps, point thresholds, and conditional losses are common aspects of this Intention.
Role
- For rule sets that are made primarily to cause players to act from a certain perspective or persona. Faction requirements, permanent Domination, and win conditions that are fundamentally different from completing main story or side quests are common aspects of this Intention.
Stream
- For rule sets that are made primarily to encourage/support interaction with a player's audience. Voting and tandem/team play are common aspects of this Intention.
Humor
- For rule sets that are made primarily to amplify the silliness or randomness of the play. Dice rolls, action tables, and requirements that are counterintuitive to normal play are common aspects of this Intention.
Rule Sets
Rule sets are the main content of a Conduct. Though there is no limit on the number of rules that any one Conduct may contain, each set must be bulleted and provide the below specifications as separate bullets. It should be noted that playing with a specific character build alone does not constitute a complete rule set. Builds may be included, but the set must be more in-depth than just how a character is made. Furthermore, players must be able to follow the rules without modding, and win conditions not only must be obtainable but reasonable. Finally, ensure that rules can be followed within the framework of the current game version.
Game Mode
Currently, there are four game modes: Classic, Roleplay, Wander, and Daily. The chosen mode must be included and cannot be Daily. It should be noted that if the chosen mode is Classic, death is considered automatically to be a failure (loss condition) and does not need to be specified. If "Challenge" is the Intention, Classic mode must be chosen.
Win Condition(s)
Whether reaching a level, obtaining an item, delving to a certain depth, or achieving something entirely different, the condition(s) by which a player "wins" the Conduct must be explained and exact.
