You lack a developed sense of pain.
You only know your general state of health and not your precise number of hit points.
Nerve Poppy (D) is a physical defect that affects the way the player's hitpoints are displayed.
Instead of the player's HP being displayed in the UI as a number out of their maximum health, a "health state" is shown. This represents what percentage the player's current HP is of their maximum health, similar to how health for creatures is usually displayed when looking at them.
The player can counteract the effects of Nerve Poppy with any item that grants bio-scanning, such as a bio-scanning bracelet.
Having Nerve Poppy (D) reduces the difficulty of saves against being morphogenetically stunned by 5.[1]
Health States
The following table shows the different health states and what percentage of the player's maximum HP they represent.
Health State | Health Percentage |
---|---|
Perfect | 100% |
Fine | 99-66% |
Injured | 65-33% |
Wounded | 32-15% |
Badly Wounded | 14-0% |
