A phase shift grenade mk I is a thrown weapon which, when thrown, grants the phased status to anything in a 5x5 square centered around the target. The phasing effect lasts 9-11 turns. Units that are already phased will not be un-phased.

Phase shift grenades cannot be modified with phase-conjugate but can be modified with phase-harmonic. However, a phase-harmonic phase shift grenade mk I is still unable to un-phase a unit that is already phased, making this an ineffective use of two photonics.

Phase shift grenades do not exist in higher grades than mk I.
