Wire strands are miscellaneous items scattered plentifully among the Rust Wells, but which can also be found in 
haberdasher inventories, and can be renewably produced by 
wire extruders. Some can also be found on the 
flattened remains.
Wire strands can be found in stacks of various sizes, including stacks of 1, 3, 10, 20, or 50 strands. The stacks will merge into a single item when picked up.
Wire strands can be deployed on the ground to create 
power lines, or over walls to make them wired -- this requires the Gadget Inspector skill.
Significantly, wire strands are also needed to complete Weirdwire Conduit.. Eureka! (See the Weirdwire Conduit.. Eureka! page for tips on collecting them.)
