Disarming is the action of knocking a weapon out of a creature's hands and onto the ground.
The following skills enable disarming:
- Disarming Shot (pistols)
- Flattening Fire (rifles)
- Swipe when in dueling stance (long blades)
NPCs Capable of Disarming
Saad Amus, the Sky-Bear is perhaps most notorious for his ability to disarm the player using his swipe skill.
Similar Effects
pulsed field magnets are notable for their Magnetic Pulse ability, which strips items from players' and other creatures' inventory. However, this effect cannot truly disarm the target, since it does not affect equipped items.
