Irisdual Beam

You molt powerful beams across the spectrum of light and matter.

Fires (level based) beams at random enemies every round for (level based) rounds.
Cooldown: (level based) rounds

Irisdual Beam is the signature mutation of the Girsh Nephilim. When activated, it causes the user to fire devastating irisidual beams at random targets for a short time. Despite the description, the ability itself always lasts 6 rounds irrespective of level, alternating between a one-round delay where beam trajectories are highlighted, and a round where beams are fired.[1] Hence, every activation of the ability results in 3 rounds of beams. All of the Girsh Nephilim have it at level 5, which means they fire 3 beams each round and the ability has a cooldown of 30 rounds. This cooldown is unaffected by Willpower.[2]

Each beam is a 15 ♥1d5+78-12 (Avg: 10) undodgeable projectile which also deals ♥30-40 damage in seven different damage types on-hit: Acid, Electric, Heat, Cold, Poison, and the unresistable Umbral and Cosmic types[3] . They pierce walls/creatures and can hit out-of-phase targets. Means of refracting or reflecting light have no interaction with the beams, nor are they absorbed by the darkness of vantabuds and vantablooms.

While active, the user cannot engage in any other actions[4] and will gain the cosmetic irisdual molting status effect.

Formulas

The following formulas are used to determine the number of beams fired and the cooldown of this ability.

Beams
Round(Level × 0.6)
Cooldown
Round(36 - 1.1 × Level)

Advancement Table

Cooldowns are unaffected by Willpower.

Mutation Level Beams Cooldown
1 1 35 rounds
