A length of wire.
Wire strands are quest items needed to complete Weirdwire Conduit.. Eureka!. They are scattered throughout the rustwells, and can also be found in 
haberdasher inventories. Some can also be found on the 
flattened remains. (See the Weirdwire Conduit.. Eureka! page for tips on collecting them.)
Wire strands can be found in stacks of various sizes, including stacks of 1, 3, 10, 20, or 50 strands. The stacks will merge into a single item when picked up. Besides the quest, a wire strand can be deployed on the ground to create 
power lines, or over walls to make them wired – this also requires the Gadget Inspector skill.
