The stem of the 
yuckwheat plant. It is known for its disgusting taste, but has potent medicinal properties.
When eaten, a yuckwheat stem will cure confusion and poison[1]. If the player character is afflicted with the early stages of Glotrot or Ironshank, eating a yuckwheat stem will give the player character a +2 bonus to the next save against the disease for the day. If 
honey is also consumed, the bonus does not stack. [2][3]
The cooking effect of its preserved form,
fermented yuckwheat stem, has a chance of adding a +3 bonus and cooked[4]. This bonus can be stacked for a +5 resist to disease combined with eating an unpreserved yuckwheat stem.
