The Grit Gate lower tunnels extend from strata 1 through 19, where they are cut off by subterranean caves. Each stratum is more or less the same – an expanse demarcated by fulcrete walls, cut from sandstone.

Each zone has a tendency to have some number of chests, as well as smaller rooms sealed by security doors, frequently with missing chunks of wall. Often, there is a room filled with trash and/or scrap. Occasionally, a room is guarded by rifle turrets or even chaingun turrets.
