vantabud

Dusky petals lean toward an inner point of harmony and form the promise of a beautiful flower cup. Light drips off the boundary of its influence and seeps into the void.

Perfect

The vantabud is a tier 4 harvestable plant. It cannot move, but causes the surrounding squares of a radius of 3 (1 including the tile the vantabud is standing on) to be completely dark unless peered through with Clairvoyance. In these tiles of total darkness, items, creatures, and other objects will be completely invisible, even if the player is near or within the darkness with a light source. This is only a graphical change. The player character can interact with anything inside these tiles with no penalty. NPCs are not affected by the vantabud's darkness. Player characters with Heightened Hearing can also hear creatures as normal inside the darkness.

vantabuds are also harvestable, although due to them being in the dark, it is rare to see their tile, ripe or unripe. They have a 12.5% chance of spawning ripe, and do not grow ripe if unripe. They can be harvested into vanta petals.

vantablooms are the higher tier version of the vantabud.
