You stare down a nearby opponent and send him fleeing in terror. |
Menacing Stare is a skill in the Persuasion tree that allows the player to inflict fear on nearby creatures.
This skill grants the "Menacing Stare" activated ability which, when used on a creature within 5 tiles of the player, will inflict fear. This causes the creature to flee from the player for 6d46-24 (Avg: 15) rounds. The creature has a chance to make a save against the fear effect, equal to 1d81-8 (Avg: 4.5) + Player Ego + 2 ≥ Defender MA; if this fails, the creature will "resist" the fear.[1]
Ability Cooldown
The base cooldown of Menacing Stare can be reduced by 10 rounds if the user is wearing an item with the terrifying visage mod.[1][2]

Factions That Teach Menacing Stare
Menacing Stare is not taught by any of Qud's persistent factions. However, procedurally generated factions such as village factions can teach randomly chosen skills as part of their water ritual.
