Reason: It seems that True Kin, like Chimerae, cannot gain mental defects, but gaining positive mutations is still possible? But this needs confirmation. Also mention what can and cannot be rerolled with Precognition (e.g. general type of result and the specific mutation cannot, but rumors can).
brain brine is a rare liquid usually found inside random reliquaries located within the Tomb of the Eaters. If it is a part of a mixed liquid, or an item is stained with brain brine, they become nervous. A phial of the liquid can also be found on the alchemist.
Sources of Brain Brine
- The alchemist is guaranteed to have one dram of brain brine for sale.
Drinking Brain Brine
Upon drinking a dram of pure brain brine, the creature will be confused for one turn. at the end of that turn, they will receive the message "You shake the water from your addled brain, but someone else's thoughts have already taken root". What happens afterwards is a weighted random chance. Regardless of the result, the creature will always lose one Ego. If the creature is a Chimera and the result would otherwise give them a mental mutation or defect, they receive the message "Your mind begins to morph but the physiology of your brain restricts it." instead.
