Cooking effects are the possible effects given by ingredients in a cooked meal. The type of effect specified by the food will dictate what kind of effects the cooked food will have. There are three different types of effects:

  • Unit Effects-Singular effects that are not affected by other cooking ingredients used in tandem. These can still show up even if the recipe is cooked with multiple ingredients.
  • Trigger Events-These specify why kind of event will trigger a triggered effect. This requires at least two ingredients together.
  • Triggered Effects- Effects that must be triggered by a trigger event. This requires at least two ingredients together. A triggered effect will always be much stronger than a unit effect due to the difficulty of activating this.

Tasty Bonus

Reason: what kind of possible effects does tasty give?

On occasion, cooking a meal gives the message "It's tastier than usual." This will give the player one small bonus in addition to the meal effects already given. These can be guaranteed if one of the cooking ingredients is salt.
