This weapon is used by Snapjaw Troglodyte Spearfiends. It is a thrown weapon which inflicts Poison if it penetrates; it can be used as a melee weapon as well, and will inflict poison when used in that fashion.

When used as a melee weapon, it is considered a cudgel (unlike a normal spear, which has no weapon type) and will use the associated skills.

Even when used as a melee weapon, its PV is fixed at 5 and does not depend on strength, making it a good melee weapon for characters with low strength but high agility.
