Junk dollars are immobile urchins appearing in Lake Hinnom and the Palladium Reef. They take on a variety of appearances and blend in with the surrounding coral. Junk dollars do not obstruct movement; when a creature steps on one, it will explode, destroying itself and inflicting heavy bleeding. This is its only attack.

A junk dollar will not explode if stepped on by a creature it is friendly with. When such a creature who is the player or a companion thereof steps on it, there is a chance the junk dollar will leave behind a random object.
