The Putus Templar and Fascism

I can't think of a good short description of what the Templar are. My thoughts are something like "They are a fascist group who aim to kill all sapient mutants."

But that doesn't feel right. I guess mostly I'm worried about "are we as wiki editors allowed to take the stance 'the TK are fascists.'"

I think the answer to this is "Yes" but I feel kind of timid to say so. (This is a me problem.)

So yeah I guess I want reassurance.

i think the fascism is self-evident, so go ahead. if you can cite game text stating their aim, all the better. i think it's good to be able to be true to both the mechanics and the theming of the game, even if the majority of what we write happens to be mechanics. theming is harder to make definitive statements about, but in this case it feels unambiguous to me

Felis77 (talk) 11:19, 19 June 2025 (UTC) - This conversation was interesting to find, especially since these ideas are barely present on the page as of writing this. And that's a shame! A big theme in Qud is the idea of "different era, same story," so I worry that starting and ending at calling them fascist misses how and why movements like that keep starting.
I'm adding a Culture(/Lore) section involving their obsessions with hierarchy and us-versus-them mentality, but I believe that the ideal end-state for this page includes trivia with a rough timeline of how and when the Templar were written and rewritten intertwines with the troll campaign the Caves community was subjected to, with the action starting with some YouTuber's quote about "the only based faction."
