The medium boulder is a thrown weapon that has high base penetration, which allows it to do fairly significant damage. It is possible to pick up and throw a medium boulder even if it would make you exceed your carry weight.
Unlike stones, medium boulders have a low flaming temperature on par with most organic objects.
