Gemstones are a type of trade good that sell for the same amount regardless of who is buying them and regardless of the buyer's ego score. They are collectively the most valuable trade goods. Each type of gemstone has a rough and a smooth variant. The smooth variant of the gemstone is always worth 20% more than the rough variant.

Sources of Gemstones
Q Girl starts with up to one each of rough agate, jasper, amethyst, sapphire, and emerald. She is not a merchant and will not restock them.
- Walls with gem deposits have a 4% chance of dropping their gem when destroyed.
glittermensch brainers,
glittermensch boulderers, and
glittermensch luminaries drop gemstones when damaged.
- Any type of gemstone can be found as rare random loot almost anywhere in the world.
- Gemstones are sold by
jewelers at the
Stiltgrounds, if present.
- Gemstones can be sold by legendary
gemcutters.
Tips

- Besides being more valuable than other types of trade goods, they also lack the relative disadvantage of being made of metal, rendering them invulnerable to
pulsed field magnets.
