A cube with a mere four corners. Facet pictographs for sun-up, mid-day, sun-down, and mid-night insist on a new division of days. It's carved with fanciful depictions of broken clocks.
A timecube is a rare item which, when used, will grant the user between 23000 and 50000 action points in multiples of 3000[1], which generally allows them to act for as many turns as there are thousand action points before other creatures can once again act. If the user is affected by normality while under the effects of a timecube, their action points will be reset to 1000[2].
Upon use, the player will receive the following message:
You are filled with the true vision! The Cubic Form is Infinite, Harmonic and transcends the 1 Day rotation! |
If the player is under the effects of normality, the timecube will fail to activate (but remain unused) and give the following message:
Fraudulent ONEness is taught by evil educators! Nothing happens! |
Achievements
- Activating a timecube will grant the Cubic and Wisest Human achievement.
- Timecubes are one of the few artifacts valuable enough to grant the Donation Level: Kasaphescence achievement when cast into the sacred well.
Trivia
- Timecubes, their activation message, and the Cubic and Wisest Human achievement are a reference to www.timecube.com, a (now defunct) web page detailing self-proclaimed “Wisest Human” Otis Eugene Ray’s bizarre Time Cube theory.
