A kaleidoscopic tartan textures the tongue and vamp. On the backstay, a diode square displays the image of a morphing wall.
When powered and activated, 3D cobblers create a section of wall behind the player with each step. By default, 3D cobblers will create sandstone walls. However, the type of wall generated by a set of 3D cobblers can be changed if the wearer uses the (L)ook command to look at a different type of wall while the 3D cobblers are equipped and powered. Walls with proper names (such as legendary animated walls) cannot be mimicked by the 3D cobblers.[1]
A power switch allows the wearer to activate or deactivate a pair of 3D cobblers at will, which is an action that costs only 100 action points (one-tenth of a standard turn).
