Freezing mist coils out of lateral vents cut into the chrome wainscotting of a marble pillar.
The frosted pillar is a structural object that is part of cryochambers, such as the cryochambers found in the Bethesda Susa cryobarrios.
Frosted pillars pump cryogenic mist into their associated cryochamber. Specifically, whenever the interior cryochamber cell next to them is empty, they add a 20 density burst of cryogenic mist, triggering once every eight turns. Each frosted pillar is oriented in a specific diagonal direction and will only pump gas into the cell in that direction.[1] They can also be found in the world not attached to a cryochamber (or attached to a ruined chamber), in which case they are sometimes inactive.
