The North Sheva is a space station located at the top of the Spindle in geostationary orbit over Qud. It is accessible by ascending the Spindle using the Golem concluding the quest We Are Starfreight after Reclamation is completed. Doing so will begin a short interlude where the player can talk to Barathrum the Old if he is present, or wait to end the interlude if he is not.
The North Sheva's traversable area is vast, constituting several explorable zones and several locations that the player cannot visit, existing exclusively in the North Sheva's world map. After the player has ascended the Spindle, they will arrive at the Arrivarium. From there, they can access the Point of Tifaret, which is the first mover stop available from the Arrivarium.
Point of No Return
Once the player ascends the Spindle, they typically cannot return back to Qud without ending the game. On arriving at the North Sheva, the graphene ribbon that was used to ascend the Spindle will become inoperable.
If the player descends down the ribbon after breaking the nondeterministic core the game will end with a Return ending. Attempting to use a
recoiler will simply state that "You cannot do that here." and
Space-Time Vortices will teleport the player to another location within the current zone, not anywhere in Qud.
Exceptions
- If the player has somehow obtained a
life loop, then this will still work and teleport the player back to
Grit Gate on death.
- Wishes such as
goto
can still be used to take the player back to Qud.
World Map
North Sheva has its own world map. Unlike Qud, the North Sheva's world map consists of several isolated locations which can be traversed between by using the mover rail system.

Mover Stops
The accessible mover stops are:
- the Point of Tifaret, notable for being accessible from the Arrivarium and therefore the first mover stop available upon ascending the Spindle.
- Star Orchid Temple, a "place of portals" and home to
Spoken Ionic Within Covalency Heart
- the Starfarer's Quay, where Resheph allegedly consulted with mysterious strangers according to the historical record.
Barathrum the Old will take a
mover here if he ascended the Spindle with you, and he will attempt to launch a starship. You can choose to go along with him, or commandeer the starship for yourself, achieving the Launch Ending with or without Barathrum.
- the Northern Ark, a "quantum temple" where the player can interact with Resheph, either speaking with him through the
hologram of Resheph, the Above, or damaging him by opening the
nondeterministic core. These interactions allow the player to influence the ending.

Minor Locations
In addition to the locations that can be reached via mover stop, the North Sheva has several minor locations that do not have corresponding zones, but can still be looked at on the world map.
