The Thin World is a place separate from the Thick world, or the tangible world. According to Ereshkigal, the Thin World is where she "traverse[s]", the way the player and most other creatures traverse through the Thick World. This location provides Ereshkigal knowledge, and the player can receive for one random secret by asking her to share it.
Death is impossible in the Thin World. Attempting to will show the message "Death has no meaning here." Any followers will not appear, but esper hunters and an Evil Twin still have a chance of spawning. This is intentional.
Gate to Brightsheol
Once the player entombs themselves in the 6th sultan coffin in Tomb of the Eaters, they will find themselves transported to the Gate to Brightsheol in the Thin World. This place can also be accessed by wishing
thinworld
. It is made entirely out of holographic plants, statues, pottery, and burnished azzurum.
Rainwater Shomer is the only creature in this location. The player can speak to them to disable the Spindle's magnetic field. After that, the player can choose to return to Qud or cross into Brightsheol as the previous sultans may have, ending the run.
Brightsheol
Brightsheol is a theoretical location in the Thin World. Rainwater Shomer claims that Brightsheol is the dream of a seraph who lives atop the Spindle. The player character is able to "cross" into it, but the location itself cannot be seen as the game ends as the player crosses. Choosing to cross will grant the player 100,000 points to their total points. Final screen
Recoming
Upon recoming, the player will be reborn in Gyl, with all of their gear in a chest nearby. However, items that were on temporary limbs, such as from helping hands may find items on the ground beneath them as well. The player will gain an additional Floating Nearby slot. All tattoos will also be removed.
