neutron flux is an extremely volatile rare liquid that can normally only be found inside a phial for sale. If it is found on the ground somehow, it will freeze at -100T and at a hot enough temperature will be destroyed instead of evaporating.
You can wish for this liquid by wishing NeutronPool
.
Upon drinking, pouring it into another container, or pouring it into another liquid the area will explode around the imbiber with a force of 15,000, and take 10d10+250260-350 (Avg: 305) damage. Dying from this will grant an achievement.
Walking on it, pouring the liquid out on the ground, on yourself, or pouring a liquid onto a pool/container of flux will not cause it to explode(unless the liquid poured is neutron flux).
Sources of Neutron Flux
- Two phials of it will always be found on the alchemist.
- Rare chance of restocking on a high tier dromad trader, kipper, ichor merchant, chef
Uses of Neutron Flux
- neutron flux can be used in a pinch as a very damaging thrown weapon if inside a fragile container like a glass bottle or a phial. However, note that a container shattering is similar to a distant pour, so it will only explode if it lands on another liquid.
- at 1000 per dram, it is the most valuable liquid for selling.
- Cooking with neutron flux is the only cooking effect to permanently affect a creature, granting them +1 AV. However, it will have a chance of exploding.
