MasterworkCarbine |
A composite carbine of exceptional craftbearship.
Scoped: This weapon has increased accuracy.
Masterwork: This weapon scores critical hits twice as often.
♂: This weapon bears the mark of Sparafucile.
The scoped masterwork carbine (or, fanonically, the Sparbine, named after its maker, Sparafucile) is a unique carbine with several distinctive characteristics.
In addition to its modification, the sparbine deals more damage and is lighter than regular carbine. While normal carbines only deals 1d8 damage, while this one deals 1d10 damage. It also 1 unit lighter than the regular carbine
As implied by its name, it always comes modded to be both scoped and masterwork, however, unlike a normal carbine, it can generate with another third modification. The rule is that you can only add one more mod and the mod cannot be the one it already had.
It's possible for a normal carbine to generate or be modded to have the same name as the Sparbine. The most obvious way to distinguish it from a normal carbine with the same mods is by looking at its description and comparing the stats
Tips
- The Sparbine remains an excellent weapon through late game, capable of quickly downing most threats whose armor it can penetrate.
- Once you've downed a few rifle turrets or musket turrets or, better yet, chaingun turrets, you'll probably have as much ammo for it as you're likely to need.
- Consider complementing it with another ranged weapon with greater PV for more armored threats, such as an eigenrifle or a phase cannon.
