Tombstones can appear in cemeteries, such as the cemetery in Joppa's outskirts, the cemetery in the Six Day Stilt, or the cemetery in Ezra. Tombstones mark the burial site of particular creatures who have succumbed to old age, their own whims, or the dangers of the world around them. Each tombstone has a procedurally generated death description that follows the logic described below.
