small crack
A small crack leads down into the earth.
The small crack is a hidden opening that can be found in Joppa. It is located in pond that is found in the northwestern part of the village, and will become revealed when the player walks into an adjacent square. It acts as a stairs down that takes the player into the waterlogged tunnel, which eventually leads the bottom of Red Rock and the target of the What's Eating the Watervine? quest.
However, this area can also be reached with significantly less peril by traveling to Red Rock on the surface and descending downwards through the dungeon.
Considerations
This section is opinion-based. Your mileage may vary.
- Even though it leads to a target of an early-game quest, descending directly into the small crack is somewhat dangerous to a new low-level player, and should be done with caution.
