    Newly sentient beings are a faction in Caves of Qud. In most cases, they are normally inanimate objects which have become intelligent and mobile.

    Beings can be granted sentience using Spray-a-Brain or a nano-neuro animator on animatable furniture. Animated furniture can also be found randomly throughout Qud. Very rarely, the player character may even discover one's lair.[1] These legendary creatures have a variety of titles based on their function or construction.
