Whenever you hit with a cudgel, there's a 50% chance to daze your opponent (-4 int, -4 agi, -10 movespeed) for 3-4 rounds. If you daze a dazed opponent, they're stunned for 1 round instead (cannot take actions and 0 DV). |
A Bludgeon attack does not need to penetrate a target's AV to daze or stun them. It is an on-hit effect, which triggers whenever the target is hit, as described on the melee combat page. When Bludgeon successfully dazes a target the message log displays "The [creature] reels from the force of your bludgeoning." in addition to the usual daze message.
