Perfect

A life loop is a special item that is usually unobtainable during normal gameplay. It is a piece of equipment worn on the arm.

When a creature wearing a life loop reaches 0 hitpoints, they will be teleported into Barathrum's Study[1] with full HP instead of dying. Any permanent injuries (such as dismemberment and decapitation) will remain on the creature. If a life loop is being worn by the player, it will be destroyed after teleportation occurs.

Once equipped, the life loop is unable to be removed; additionally, the limb that the loop is equipped on cannot be dismembered.[2]

Despite having a slot for an energy cell, the life loop does not require power to function and will not consume any if it activates.

The loop is not meant to be used by the player character, but is a fail safe to prevent several plot relevant characters from dying permanently and thus preventing the main quest from being completed.
