A man-sized cylinder hovers just above the floor. They emit a low, menacing hum as they glide slowly, searching for intruders with their many protruding sensor arrays. A long, articulated arm, ending in a sparking rod, dangles from their side.
Waydroids are a type of robot, presumably built by the Barathrumites to guard 
Grit Gate against intruders. They will attack anyone not holding a 
droid scrambler, and will be friendly to anyone with a scrambler in their inventory, as well as their companions.
Trivia
While, for all in-game intents and purposes, waydroids are the creations of the Barathrumites, they are actually technically part of the otherwise invisible waydroids faction. This is likely done to give them a separate reputation stat, allowing waydroids friendliness to be based off whether the player is holding a droid scrambler, rather than if they are friends with the Barathrumites.
