The stamped data disk is an early-game quest item that can be used to make contact with the Barathrumites and start the main story quest, More Than a Willing Spirit. It is obtained in either of the following ways:

• If the player's starting village is Joppa: Completing the Weirdwire Conduit.. Eureka! quest for Argyve.
• If the player's starting village is not Joppa: Completing one of the two randomly generated village quests.

Visually, the stamped data disk is identical whether it was received from Argyve or from a procedurally generated village quest-giver. However, there will be different dialog triggered when using the disc to accept the More Than a Willing Spirit quest, depending upon whether the player received the stamped data disk from Argyve or not.
