Defoliant Effects

The defoliant pump fires 5 "projectiles", which are essentially just individual streams of defoliant gas. The defoliant pump's low accuracy typically means that these projectiles will spread at different angles and give the appearance that the weapon is firing an irregular cone of defoliant gas. The projectiles pass through non-solid objects (essentially, anything the player could walk through), including many plants like dogthorn trees, watervine, or banana trees. Some plants, such as qudzu or red death dacca, are solid, and the defoliant pump's projectiles may hit and be stopped short by them, reducing the potential spread of defoliant gas.

defoliant will deal high damage and quickly destroy most plants and plant-based material. This includes players or other creatures with the Photosynthetic Skin mutation.

Obtaining

The defoliant pump can be:

• Found as random loot in mid-tier zones or occasionally equipped by random creatures.
• Crafted with the Tinker II skill, after obtaining the required schematic.
• Disarmed from defoliant turrets.
