Hydraulic power is a form of energy based on the forced movement of liquid, typically water. Generally speaking, liquid is forced through tube-like conduits, such as glass hydraulic pipes, metal hydraulic pipe(favilink error!), and plastic hydraulic pipe(favilink error!) until it reaches a mechanism that can receive and utilize the hydraulic power.[1] Hydraulic power can also be conveyed through walls that have the with piping mod.[2]
Hydraulic systems are found in Grit Gate and Yd Freehold, and both locations use a combination of pipes and walls with piping.[3][4]
Objects That Generate Hydraulic Power
Objects That Run on Hydraulic Power
- Barathrum clock with Q Girl pendulum
- electrodicus
- flux gauge
- food processor
- force projector
- gas burner
- glass furnace
- glass printer
- hydraulic irrigator
- hydraulic press
- hydraulic turbine
- lathe
- liquid-cooled unicomputer
- powered armillary sphere
- psionic sarcophagus
- regeneration tank
- rock tumbler
- torture chair
- wire extruder
Notes
Hydraulic power is distinct from the mechanical power generated by a wooden water wheel. Mechanically speaking for Caves of Qud, these are unrelated. Conceptually speaking, one might imagine the water wheel as an object that converts hydraulic power into mechanical power.
