lurking beth
Spiny mineral nodules are camouflaged against stone and chrome.
A lurking beth is a creature that remains hidden until a player walks over it. It then bursts upward out of the ground, dealing 2d10+57-25 (Avg: 16) damage and applying an additional bleeding effect.
Multiple lurking beth will appear together in clusters of 1d61-6 (Avg: 3.5) connected tiles. They are commonly found in Bethesda Susa.
You can attack and destroy a lurking beth by force attacking (Ctrl+<Direction>) into an empty square. If a lurking beth is present in that square, you will attack it and a message will appear in the message log indicating that it was attacked and/or destroyed.
