mental aggregator
A lightweight cap of shiny foil.
A mental aggregator is a rare, high tier item that is worn on the head. It has no functionality when worn; it does not bestow any special effects or abilities on its wearer except for having 1 AV. However, it has a very high commerce value, and has one of the highest value-to-weight ratios of any item.
Additionally, adding item mods that scale with item tier to the mental aggregator can be quite powerful due to it being a tier 8 item. It is also by far the highest tier head slot item made out of metal, allowing it to be magnetized while providing powerful versions of mods like co-processor from the floating nearby slot.

- The mental aggregator is very similar in description and appearance to a tin foil hat, a hat commonly constructed out of aluminum foil and formed into the shape of a cone. Tin foil hats are worn under the pretense that they will protect the wearer from threats such as electromagnetic radiation, mind control, and ESP; however, there is no evidence they are actually capable of doing so,[1] similar to the mental aggregator's apparent lack of function.
