A thermo cask is a piece of body armor that is primarily centered around manipulating temperature and dealing fire and freezing damage.

Tips

While it does have the second-best thermal resistances of any armor (only beaten by its upgrade), it's best used with characters that use a lot of temperature manipulation and heat- or cold-based attacks.

If you only want the thermal resistances, it will likely be better to use crysteel shardmail modded with Wooly instead, as it will give similar thermal resistances, while also having superior ♦AV, a lower ○DV penalty, and providing electrical and acid resistance.
