Fat was shorn from their spindle-limbs on the psychic lathe. The irises of their eyes are patterned on shapes that cannot be drawn in the geometries of the natural world. Their weapon is immaterial but inseparable; it was spun from the same thoughtstuff as their ego.
The dervish of the Sightless Way is a creature that is part of a unique class of dervishes, along with the high dervish of the Sightless Way and the arch dervish of the Sightless Way. Dervishes are notable for the fact that they attack using psionic weapons, which target the victim's mental armor (MA) instead of the victim's traditional armor (AV). All dervishes can also teleport, and will often use teleportation to pursue their target.
The dervish of the Sightless Way will always have a plastifer jerkin in addition to the weapon described below.
Weapons and Skills
When a dervish of the Sightless Way is generated, the game will randomly select one of the following weapon skills for the dervish:[1]
Primary skill | Chance | Subskills | Weapon |
---|---|---|---|
Long Blade | 25% | Up to 2 long blade dervish subskills | A psionic long blade. See below for weapon tier chances. |
Short Blade | 25% | Up to 2 short blade dervish subskills | A psionic short blade. See below for weapon tier chances. |
Axe | 25% | Up to 2 axe dervish subskills | A psionic axe. See below for weapon tier chances. |
Cudgel | 25% | Up to 2 cudgel dervish subskills | A psionic cudgel. See below for weapon tier chances. |
Dervishes can generate with some particularly dangerous skills, such as Decapitate or Swipe.
Psionic Weapon Base
Dervishes generate with a random weapon roughly based on their tier, to which the game will add the psionic modifier.[1][2]
The weapon may be one-handed or two-handed, and can include artifact weapons such as the maghammer or vibro blade.
