A bear is a creature belonging to the bears faction. Bears can be found underground, as well as in Red Rock, Grit Gate, the Rust Wells, and the Trembling Dunes.[1][2]

Bears attack in melee with their \bite and their \claws. Their bite is a natural axe weapon that deals ♥1d31-3 (Avg: 2) damage, while their claws are natural short blade weapons that each deal ♥1d31-3 (Avg: 2) damage.

Bears have a 50% chance to drop a bear corpse on death. This can be butchered into raw bear meat. If the corpse itself is eaten by the player, they will gain the Eat An Entire Bear achievement.[3]
