The cooking effect of 
fermented yuckwheat stem has a chance of adding a +3 bonus and cooked[1]. This bonus can be stacked for a +5 resist to disease combined with eating an unpreserved fermented yuckwheat stem.

Aside from its medicinal properties in cooking, fermented yuckwheat stems also have the possible cooking trigger action "whenever @thisCreature eat@s an unfermented yuckwheat stem,"[2] which is one of the easier triggers because it can be activated by player choice, and outside of 
Golgotha and the Banana grove, there is little use for yuckwheat.
