A coral polyp, plucked from a palladium strut and gnawed into a delicate long blade. The preferred weapon of svardym juts, a sharpened polyp has the combat statistics of a flawless crysteel long sword, but has a few interesting properties that make it unique.

Bleeding

After being hit by a sharpened polyp, a creature will suffer 2-32-3 (Avg: 2.5) bleeding damage per turn, with an initial Toughness save of 35. This is one of the highest bleeding saves in the game (tied with the save difficulty for bleeding caused by dismemberment and surpassed by fatecaller relics, which can have a possible save difficulty of 100), which means that it is likely for the bleeding to last for many turns - particularly if the target has low Toughness.[1]

Crumbling

Each time a player or creature uses the sharpened polyp to attack something, the sharpened polyp has a 50% chance to crumble to dust.[2] When this occurs, a message similar to the following appears in the message log:

Your sharpened polyp crumbles to dust!
