The Crystal Delight is a recipe taught by Thicksalt, purchased with 50 Chavvah reputation. Eating this recipe will transform the player in a manner similar to the Cloaca Surprise, granting a new body plan and the special mutation Crystallinity.

Body Slots

The consumer's original body will be swapped with a body plan with the following:

• Smooth Face x8 (face)
• Quincunces x2 (worn on hands)
• Quincunx x4 (hand)
  • These come with Crystalline Point natural weapons dealing 1d2 damage.
• Crystal Prism x4 (arm)
• Hardpoint x2 (missile weapon)
• Thrown Weapon
• Floating Nearby
• Extra body parts from mutations like Multiple Legs or the Chimera Genotype stay and are added on to this.

Compared to a default human body plan, this means:

• Two more Arm/Hand slots along with one more Worn On Hands slot
• Seven more Face slots
• No Head slot (or one less if extra are granted by mutations)
• No Worn On Back slot
  • Mutants with Wings will still be able to fly with them despite no longer having a "Worn Around Wings" slot
• No Feet slot (or one less if extra are granted by mutations)
  • This can negate Hooks for Feet (D) unless the character has extra feet, in which case the hooks will move to those.
  • The player can no longer become prone unless they still have feet from Multiple Legs or Chimera parts
• The mutation Crystallinity will be granted

Crystallinity Mutation

This section is an excerpt from Crystallinity#Effects.

• You are considered inorganic and made of stone and crystal.
  • This will prevent you from tattooing your body parts (aside from specific-material Chimera parts), which may make Tomb of the Eaters (quest) more difficult (though previously applied tattoos are not removed by this).
• +4 AV
• -50 Electrical Resistance
• +25% to refract light based attacks. The refraction chance does not stack with other sources (possibly outdated?)
• You produce twice as many non-biological clones.
  • Sources of non-biological clones are Temporal Fugue, Evil Twin (D), shade oil injector overdose, gelatinous prism and gelatinous antiprism, and breaking hexagonal crystal.

Consuming the Delight

... You feel an uncomfortable pressure across the length of your body. Your limbs suddenly feel perversely round and bumpy before they shrink back into your body. An abrading force cuts the surfaces of your torso until you feel polished and perfectly smooth. A quartet of prisms shatter out of you and grow. Each quinfurcates at the tip into five finger prisms. You gained the mutation Crystallinity!

Interaction With Cloaca Surprise

Eating this dish after the Cloaca Surprise overwrites the changes the Surprise has made to the player's body plan, meaning any body parts gained or lost from the prior transformation will be reverted before applying the new transformation. The special mutation from the prior transformation will be kept, which in this case is Bilge Sphincter, granting a tail armed with that natural equipment.
