Enigma snails appear in the 
Palladium Reef, and are noted for their use of 
Confusion and their perplexcis melee attack that permanently drains Willpower by one point, similar to a 
will sap.
An 
enigma snail corpse may be butchered into an 
enigma cap or 
enigma cone which grant 3 levels of the Confusion mutation.

- Enigma snails are one of only a few types of creatures that can permanently drain a creature's stats. The others are:
