This article has information that is missing or not up to par.
Reason: What population table or other logic is used to determine the items that a star kraken leaves behind? This could benefit from a section similar to Salt kraken#Burrowing

star kraken

A full-scale continental shelf of half-calcified, star-orchid body mass creeps over the earth, sending stone, chrome, wood, and brass to quivers. Hundreds of thousands of underspines convey its quincunx of cyclopean arms into motion, and a delta of subducting stomach muscle sticks and subsumes matter into its somatic star-bounds. In its wake an arcology of disarranged world-fragments is raised.

Perfect

Star krakens are mysterious strangers who behave similarly to salt krakens, charting a slow, linear course across Qud and swallowing up items and creatures in front of them. They are docile in nature, refraining from conflict unless attacked. However, standing in the behemoth's path (highlighted in red) can cause instant death by swallowing. They possess five cyclopean arms (32 ♥5d5), all Multiweapon Fighting skills and Regeneration at level 20, making them extremely formidable.

Burrowing

When a star kraken is burrowing, it moves once every two turns, creating a red highlight in the space before it. Anything standing in the highlighted space when the salt kraken advances will be destroyed; this causes instant death to the player and other creatures and is one of two ways to receive the *gulp* achievement. Additionally, a burrowing star kraken will produce one of the following objects at its previous position:

Group Weight Items
trash 1  trash
a corpse 1 Pulls from anything in the table
a physical object 1 Pulls from anything in "PhysicalObject"
liquids 2  algal water, bloody  algal water
coral & struts 3  coral polyp,  palladium strut with coral growth,  palladium strut
farmable 2  finger coral,  tunnel sponge
rubble 2  rubble (or its grey variant)
flowers 1  flowers
boulders 1  small boulder,  medium boulder,  large boulder or their grey variants

The items which appear in the wake of a star kraken's passing are significantly more various than their desert brethren; the detritus can include rare corpses, walls, furniture, liquids and gas clouds of various materials. Occasionally they will even produce objects that do not normally exist in Qud, or are normally hidden (such as the Bell of Rest). Regardless of location, they will produce  Palladium Reef scenery such as  finger coral and  palladium struts.

Occasionally, a star kraken will spawn an artifact or creature of apparently random tier in its wake. Certain creatures such as  dromad traders may emerge with an entourage and full inventory. Spawned creatures that attack the star kraken will be promptly re-ingested.
