A life loop is a special item that is usually unobtainable during normal gameplay. It is a piece of equipment worn on the arm.
When a creature wearing a life loop reaches 0 hitpoints, they will be teleported into Barathrum's Study[1] with full HP instead of dying. Any permanent injuries (such as dismemberment and decapitation) will remain on the creature. If a life loop is being worn by the player, it will be destroyed after teleportation occurs.
Once equipped, the life loop is unable to be removed; additionally, the limb that the loop is equipped on cannot be dismembered.[2] However, if someone wearing the life loop consumes the Cloaca Surprise, the loop will disappear.
